The third annual National Catholic Health Care Week will take place from Sunday, October 3 to Saturday, October 9, 2021.
Established by the Catholic Health Alliance of Canada, this year’s National Health Care Week seeks to build understanding, connection and trust about the organization’s mission and contribution in Canada’s pandemic response. Through stories, reflection and prayer, the week also seeks to foster healing and to advance Catholic health care’s commitment to social justice and the values of inclusiveness and compassion, in the spirit of reconciliation.
“The extraordinary impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the crucial importance of quality health care,” says Patrick Daly, President of the Ontario Catholic School Trustees’ Association. “It has as well made visible the sacrifice of those who serve in hospitals and other health care providers.”
Resources for the week include daily reflections, a fact sheet that outlines the footprint of Catholic health care in Canada, a short video and stories. Many of these can be found at the links below:NCHCW 2021 – Package for SchoolsNCHCW 2021 – Social Media Resources
